FINTEL's International Gateway Switch is an Ericsson's AXE-10 digital exchange, recently upgraded to Transgate 3 and millennium compliant with a call handling capacity of approximately 800,000 call attempts per hour.

Modular expansion and upgrade to this facility provides a capacity of 64,000 lines, of which over 1,000 lines are presently in use.

The system utilises ITU No.7 (ISUP) which enables GSM international roaming for the cellular mobile phone system.
